Hi I just wrote in about my oven and the broiler bar only having a small flame and the oven on heats to about 225...I forgot to add the burners work fine Thanks
You will want to check the burners to make sure that there is no clogging or rust around the ports. Also check the orifices to ensure that they are not plugged up. If these check ok then it sounds like the issue with the unit would be the control valve assembly WB19K10044.
Just replaced the oven pressure regulator and safety valve assembly. It works but the flame from the oven burner tube is very big, drafting up thru the air vents of the oven. If you look in the oven you can see the flames coming up through the vents. What is my problem? It is a brand new part (#WB19K10044).
Answer Hello Jeff,
This sounds like you have your unit on LP gas and since the new parts come like the appliance, (set up for natural gas form the factory), you will need to convert the gas valve to LP. This is done by removing the plastic cap and loosening the nut under it. Flip the nut over and screw it back in and re-install the plastic cover. Now the brass hood that the burner sets on should be turned in to bottom, (about 2 turns). Be sure not to force it any further than where it bottoms or you will damage the valve assembly.
