Hi, when I turn on the water, the water runs unchecked into the dishwasher, nothing stops it at all, it just keeps filling up the unit. Suggestions? Thanks
Answer Hello Steve,
This sounds like the water inlet valve has failed. To check for sure, while the water is running, turn off the breaker to the unit. If the water stops, there is an electrical issue with the unit that will have to be troubleshot. If the water will not stop until the water shut off is turned off, the water valve WD10M10 has failed.
I hooked my portable dishwasher, as usual, to the faucet, turned the water on, then turned the dishwasher on. Nothing happened. No water came into the dishwasher. I checked all of the connections and made sure it was plugged in (the red light was on). Again nothing happened. Please advise.
Thanks for your help.
Answer Hello Henry,
First thing to check is if the float inside the unit that activates the float switch has anything under it preventing it from dropping back down. If this is free and the unit is plugged into a live outlet and the timer is set properly and the door is shut, it sounds like the water inlet valve WD10M10 has probably failed. If you have a test meter TJMA-DMT3 you can take the kick panel off and test across the water valve leads and turn the unit on. If 120Vac is present while the unit should be filling, the water inlet valve has failed. Let us know if we can assist you further.
