The water won't drain after wash is completed. It will go thru all the cycles but when I open the door the bottom is full of water. When I drain the water from the bottom with wet dry vacuum, water backs up from sink when the dishwasher is off.

Our GE dishwasher seems like it doesn't fill up with enough water. It will go through the cycles with very low water level. I have checked water pressure, supply line and water valve. They seems to be ok. The dishwasher will run before it fills up enough with water. Is this normal for a GE dishwasher of this model? Or could there be a problem with something else? Thank you Bob G.

Our dishwasher flooded last night -- huge puddle of water in the floor. Not sure where it was coming from. After opening the door (to try to stop it from running) and closing the door, water continued to pour out the bottom of the door. Tried running it and stopping it (so that it would go through a pump cycle) but water continued to pour out. This continued until I turned off the water supply. What is the possibility that this valve stuck open? From what I've read, it seems that sticking closed is a more normal failure mode. If this value isn't stuck open, what is another likely cause for the flood?
