My Repair & Advice
First, verified that water filter wasn't the problem by removing it and installing bypass plug. Second, verified that water was flowing from supply valve by disconnecting line to automatic water valve and observing flow into a bucket. Third, verified automatic water valve was functioning correctly by connecting supply line directly to automatic water valve. With the filter, water supply, and automatic water valve eliminated as problems, the filter head was identified as the problem by process of elimination.
Filter head was replaced by disconnecting the water lines on the back of the refrigerator that go to the filter head, opening the refrigerator and removing the filter and the filter head. Two screws hold the filter head in place and you must pull the water lines through openings in the back of the refrigerator. Removed the filter head cover from the old filter head and installed it on the new filter head. Fed the water lines through the back of the refrigerator and installed the new filter head. Connected the filter head water lines to the water supply line and the automatic water valve. Installed the water filter, turned the water supply on and checked for leaks.
