Hi, after replacing the part used to supply water to the icemaker, the ice has a weird taste to it. I only use the icemaker side of the water pump. Do I just need a new water filter? It is 8 yrs old

Answer Hi James, if you have not replaced the water filter within the last 8 years. Yes, you will need to replace it. The manufacturer recommends that you replace every six months or twelve months depending use. Hope this helps!

Ice maker holder collects water causes large collection of cubes. I notice some cubes on top of cluster are hollow in center and hold water. I've been told that I need to change the filter.I can find no filter, only the water inlet valve. This refrigerator is at least 11 yr's old. What do you recommend?
