Answer DJ, You would just want to inspect the tubing for the water valve to make sure that it is not getting brittle. The valve should be the only thing to replace and is a push in style connector for the tubing.

Answer Hello Gus. Depending on if the old one has the screw on fittings or the compression fittings, will determine the tool. If screw on fittings, just use a adjustable wrench. If it is compression fittings, press in on the fitting and the water line will pull out of the valve.
