Answer Hello Travis, You will want to make sure that there is power getting to the water valve. You should have 120 vac when the unit is calling for water. If the water valve is getting 120 vac then the water valve is bad and needs to be replaced.

Answer Hello Ruth, This issue would either be a tub seal, pump or hose. You would have to take unit apart to determine the exact cause of the leak.

Answer Chas, It could be a weak pump, but you should also notice a drain issue, it's more likely a clog, or restriction in the recirculation tube up to the tub cover, Check the tube first. then replce the pump. Good Luck and Thanks

Answer Julie, You' re on the right track, You've got a drain hose or pump issue, But you did not supply a model number, and the drain pump part number you supplied is for an older GE top load washer with a "belt drive" not a front loader with an electric drive drain pump. Thanks and Good Luck

Answer Hi Paullus. You can take a pitcher and fill it to the bottom of the heating element. Make sure it is clean before you do this by using the dishwasher magic part # TJ104. Thank You.

Answer Hello Tom. It could damage the pump if you try to seal the hole, and the drain pipe as well. If the seal hold for a few cycles, and then does not, you may damage more than the washer, could have some water damage to the home. It is best to replace the pump assembly WH23X42. Hope this helps.
