How do I replace this part if I need to. Is it possible to cut and splice the lines in order to take this out and clean it? It doesn't look like the tubing comes out of the tank? Make it so a novice like me can replace it without having to trace all the tubing!
Answer Hello Renae,
You really would not want to cut and splice this part into place. It is best to remove old tubing that is there and install all of tubing on new part. When you install the new tank the longer of the 2 lines will go to the dispenser and the other to the water valve.
The water line is leaking at the water dispenser at the front of unit where you pour the water at the end of the plastic tubing. Is there a gasket or washer that needs to be replaced? If so how do you get to it.
Answer Hello Steve. If water is leaking from the water dispense line, you either have low water pressure, (which would also disable your icemaker) or a bad water inlet valve. If your ice maker is working, the water valve WR57X10051 requires replacement. NOTE: If the water filter has been replaced, air in the system will cause the drip. If the filter has been replaced, go ahead and dispense about a gallon and a half to two gallons of water to purge all air from the system. If the drip persists, replace the water inlet valve. I certainly hope this helps!
