This is an old refrigerator. I just put an exterior water filter on the water line to the refrigerator. I would like to replace all internal hoses and water tank. Is this possible without completely taking the fridge apart.
To replace all of the water lines in the unit, it will be necessary to do some disassembly of the unit. For the water tank you would need to remove the lower cover over the compressor to access the water valve in order to disconnect the water line. You would also need to remove the lower shelving to gain access to the water tank. The water line for the icemaker is just getting to the water valve and for the dispenser. The door for the freezer would have to be partially disassembled, mainly the dispenser area to get the water tubing out and install the new one. It may even be necessary to remove the liner of the freezer door.
