I had a water line split very close to the orange inlet valve on the WR57X10026. I had to pull the old tubing out of the valve, but I can't get a replacement tube to reinstall in the orange inlet. Looking at the inlet, it seems that the old tubing left behind some plastic that I can't remove, and it's preventing the new tube from catching on the metal prongs to seat properly. Is it possible to just buy the replacement piece (metal plate, blue plate with inlet, orange piece) for what I would assume would be around $10, or do I need to replace the entire inlet valve assembly? Also, are those inlets made to be reusable, or can you only insert one plastic tube and it can't be removed for another one? Thanks.

Repeating problem. Icemaker waterline pops out of elbow at back of refrig., called repairman, he changed tubing, 3 weeks later, same problem with water going onto floor instead of into icemaker. Repairman changed valve WR57X10026, and tubing, now same problem again 4 weeks later. Repairman doesn't know why, he changed aluminum tube for plastic one inside icemaker, he said maybe heater isn't working to keep tube from freezing, no replacement part available. Now no water into icemaker or on floor, water dispenser has always worked good through all this. What's next? Repairman is from Appliance store where I bought frig.

The Water Dispense on the front of the door works, but the Ice Maker does not make any ice. I'd like to check the Valve to verify power is going to the valve when the Ice maker calls for water. Is there a way to Force the Ice maker to Cycle/what Voltage am I looking for at the connector? -Dave

I have removed the panel in the back of the refrigerator to find the leak. My first question is this; is WR57X10026 a combination of WR57X10023 and and the brackets? If so, the leak seems to be coming out the circle, just above the blue connector on the top of the Water Inlet Valve (WR57X10023). After further inspection by turning the valve upside down so that you could see the silver seal with the 6 screws, it looks like someone else had been in there.. Well two of the screws are black and that silver seal is broken.... If this is a common part that fails, I would prefer to just replace the Water Inlet Valve instead of the entire part and save the money.

My ice maker is working, but my water dispenser is not. The parts breakdown diagram shows three (3) seperate water valves, 795,798,799 which one supplies the water to the dispenser?. can I rule out the 795 as it supplies water to the ice maker?
