Question about installation of part AP2071738. Previous owner of my home installed a water inlet valve on the GE Profile refrigerator that bypassed the water filter, so the two lines going to the water filter aren't connected to anything. In installation AP2071738, I'm not sure which line to connect to the orange "nozzle" and which to connect to the black "nozzle" on this part. Both lines are clear and neither are denoted as "in" or "out." Maybe it doesn't matter which way the water flows through the filter, but I thought I'd ask to find out. Maybe there is a way by the flow of water to tell if it is connected incorrectly? Thanks!

I recently ask a question about my water dispenser and ice maker on my refrigerator. My valve was working properly before I fixed the leak. I am concerned about putting the wire back correctly. does it not matter.

Latest Questions

I purchased my refrigerator 12 years ago and I need to replace the water valve. It's a GE Profile Performance. I bought the replacement water valve but the design has changed. The electric hook up is different. The original valve has one connector and the new one has two sets of prongs that don't match the hook up on the old valve. I'm also unsure how to connect the lines.

Water leaking slowly from area wher water tubes enter/exit blue part on bottom area of fridge. It seems like the tube goes into a plastic connector of some sort and that is where water is trickling from intermittently. What do I have to do? Thanks!

Although my ice maker is turning, no water is entering the tray. I removed a piece of ice from the water tube but still no running water. Could it be the water valve?
