I need to replace the valve assy. on this fridge. I purchased pt number WR57X10022. I believe this was incorrect on my part. I have looked again and can't figure out what part it is that I need. The one listed, AP3156296, still doesn't look like the one I am replacing. Not even sure how I get it to fit if it is the right replacement part. Any help you could offer would be a great help. Thank you.
Charlene for Model Number TPS24BPCA BS
Answer Charlene, according to your model the water valve kit WR49X10043 is the correct replacement and will include both the primary and secondary valve used on your model TPS24BPCABS. This is a manufacturer replacement part and may differ in appearance but is a functional equivalent to the original. If for any reason the old harness does not work with the new replacement you'll need to order harness part number WR23X10108. The valve is located on the back of the refrigerator at the bottom. You'll need to remove the access cover to gain access to the inlver valve. The kit should also include instructions for assembly. Hope this helps you. Thanks.
Can the average handyman do this repair? Several water lines are dry, brittle and broken. Are there enough water lines in the repair kit to replace them all?
Steve N. for Model Number TPX24SPBA BS
Answer Steve, the water inlet valve kit WR49X10043 comes with step by step instructions on how to replace the parts in the valve kit. The inlet valve only comes with one tube. The water lines that connect to this inlet valve is the icemaker tube WR2X9245, grommet and tube assembly WR17X3670, and the filter head assembly WR17X10450. Thanks!
In the cross references, the model numbers all have AAA or BBB ect. after them. Will this part # 798 work on my model? Thanks.
