I am replacing my water inlet valve on my ge tps24pibe refer. I have connected water and have plugged the red electrical connector to the red cylinder and the white to the blue but nothing is working..
Answer Hello Andy. Make sure the power and water is turned on and you are pressing the lever to make it work. Unhook lines from bottom of valve and see if water comes out there. If so, the valve is fine and you have a blockage somewhere in the unit.
How do I remove the clear plastic water output water line from the valve.
This water valve incorporates a john guess fitting in which you would push in on the white ring around the tubing and at the same time pull the tubing out.
Water is running out the ice chute of the icemaker. It has a water dispenser, too. Icemaker or water valve failure? Thanks!
Answer Hello Earl,
If the water is coming out of the ice chute, the water dispense is not the issue. Open the freezer door and remove the ice bin. Use a flashlight to see if water is coming from the ice maker fill tube. If so, replace the water inlet valve WR57X10019. If not, check the bottom of the ice maker to see if it's hot. There could be a set of contacts in the ice maker motor control module that is keeping the mold heater on. This will constantly melt the ice. Be careful when you check it! It gets plenty hot enough to raise a blister! Let us know if we can assist you further.
