Where can I find more detailed installation instructions for installing both the AP2071735 and AP2071736 for my TPS24BPDABS? I've already viewed the videos on your website. Thanks.
Answer Hello Frank,
This is not a difficult repair. As long as you unplug the unit and turn the water off to it, all you need to remember is to remove one thing at a time and place it on the new part until the new part is interchanged. Once completed, remember to turn the water back on, re-establish the electrical connection, and check for leaks, THEN put the covers back on. If you follow this advice, you should have no problems.
Ice maker worked only occasionally so replaced the ice maker and now it has not worked at all. I am thinking it may be the water valve. Your guess? And where is the water inlet valve for the ice maker?
The water valve may be the cause of failure. You will need to check voltage at the water valve to see if the valve is energizing when the icemaker calls for water. If there is 120 vac and the fill tube is not frozen then you would want to replace the water valve. In most cases the water valve is located on this unit under the front of the unit or it is located in the upper section of the unit.
