Answer CC, You will want to double check to make sure that the stator is installed where it is not leaning to one direction or another. Check the harness going to the hall sensor and back to the control board for loose or broken wires. If this all checks ok then the control board would most likely be the failure.

Answer Tom, A grinding noise during the spin cycle normally indicates that the bearings on the unit are bad and need to be replaced. Bearings part numbers are 4280FR4048L and 4280FR4048E. You would also need the seal 4036ER2004A.

Answer Bob, You will want to double check the installation of the stator and hall sensor. If the parts are not lined up properly or leaning a little it will cause the stator to grind and smoke.
