My ice maker has been going in and out for some time. It has an error code (Er If). Some times the code goes away and it works. When I pulled the back inside cover of the freeze off, exposing both the evaporator fan and the (duct assembly connector, which also has a built in fan) there was some ice on the upper right side of the evaporator. I did notice that the duct assembly connector was cutting on and off about every 15-20 sec (part number ap4440210). The frig and freezer both stay cold. Please advise.

Error code ER IF and has neither ice nor water. Otherwise refrigerator works well. I have been told something is wrong with the ice fan or control board, is this right? Please advise.

Latest Questions

Hi my ice maker has the letters ER IF and no ice is being made, but the freezer and water portions work perfectly. I assume I need a new fan, can you give me the correct fan to purchase for this model fridge? Also, can I order it from you? Installation not too tough I guess? Thanks for your help in advanced! Mike

My LG LMX 25984 ST refreg has an ER IF or 1F. When researching it appears the icemaker fan if not working. The lower freezer and upper refreg are getting cold, just not the icemaker. I can feel air cold air coming out of the damper in the refeg when I have the unite in test mode 1, but no air coming out of the ports where the ice maker receives its cold air. I have read that it could be the fan or the control board. I have also read that it maybe the connector on the icemaker fan motor. What part would you recommend to replace first. Do I need the fan motor or the Duct Assembly part number AP4440210? Or do you recommend a different part to replace.
