We have installed a water filtration system in our home and are wondering if there is a water filter bypass head that can be used rather than replacing the water filter in our refrigerator?

First had slow water from dispenser, so I changed filter, still slow, so I changed the valve with 2 inlets behind filter, when I turned water back on, had strong flow for 5 seconds, then the flow slowed to the way it was before......any ideas?.......thanks

I had the same problem as David with water flowing out of the filter head. I removed the filter and cover and noticed about a 1" diameter round insert with off-set flow holes that align with the water inlet and outlet openings when the filter is inserted and rotates this part into the proper alignment. I'm able to insert the part fully into my water filter head and align it by rotating with the filter, but the pressure of the water forces the part out of the filter head creating a leak. I don't see that insert in the water filter head images on this page. Is it a separate piece or will it be integrated if I order a new filter head? Thanks, Dan

Water recently started pouring out of my filter cartridge/head unit. The cartridge will turn past locking position. Does this indicate a broken filter head or the water inlet valve? Is this something a novice person can replace? Are there instructions on how to replace both of these units?
