i have no water entering the filter but i have water and ice.
is there a bypass somewhere on the filter head or somewhere else.
is there a clog that may have caused this?
Answer Gene, You're on the right track. You'll need to remove the lower shelves and crispers, and check the water reservoir(Tubing) to see if it has froze. If that's the csae, you'll need a blow dryer to melt the ice in the tubes, and reset to refrigerator temperature control warmer. Also check and make sure the articles on the shelves are not creating a blockage in the air flow.
How do you remove the shroud from the filter head assembly?
Answer Hi Mark. After the filter has been removed there is a screw that is in the front top of the mount of the filter head part # 5230JA2003A. After this is removed, you push in on the water line gray circled collars and pull out on the water line at the same time. There are 2 black marks on the water line that need to be pushed into the head assy. to the second line fully so the line will not leak. Thank You.
