The display panel is lit however, Regardless of which control is selected , the unit cycles through numbers 1 to 4. I tried going through the child lock release, (not that its ever been used) and nothing works. I unplugged the unit numerous times in hopes that it would reset but nothing seems to work. Can you help?

My LG LMV 1680 microwave stopped working. The microwave was in operation when I heard a loud pop. After that, the microwave just doesn't power up. Checked the breaker and the electrical outlet. They are fine. Nothing visibly wrong inside the microwave (no fire, smell, etc) The front plastic window on the door had come down about an inch. I took the door off, applied glue to the broken tabs and put it back up. Still nothing. I suspect the fuse is blown. I can replace it but what could have caused it to trip? It may not have been the window sliding down. Could it be one of the door switches (this model seems to have 3)? Wanted to order additional parts if necessary when I'm ordering the new fuse. Any insights or direction would be greatly appreciated!

Answer Hello MGS. Test the door switches and make sure they are good and test the magnetron in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. My microwave is only 4 years old and everything works except there is NO HEAT. Is the fuse the problem?

Answer Hello Gordon, If the fuse were bad the unit would be completely dead. In the case of the unit working except for heating, the problem is a high voltage issue. This includes the control board, the high voltage transformer, the high voltage capacitor, the high voltage diode, the magnetron high temperature cutout, and the magnetron. One or more of these can be the issue. The only way to know for sure is to open the unit, discharge the high voltage capacitor to ground, and test the individual components. According to the manufacturer, there is no definitive test for the magnetron other than testing to ensure the terminals are not shorted to ground, (chassis).

Tried to use the auto defrost and no response it wouldnt work. I then tried cook and it was just fine. Then a breaker flipped and the kitchen lost power so I went and flipped the breaker all power in the kitchen is back except the microwave and there is ablolutley no power no clock no nothing. when I plug in another appliance to that outlet all works. I wanted to check the fuse but I cant find it. where do I find this fuse? Any other suggestions of what may be going on would be nice also.

Answer Hello Duane. You need to remove the outer cover off the microwave to access and replace the fuse 3B74133Q in the unit.

I have a lg lmv1314b micowave. its bran new and I was useing the timer on it the other day and my breaker poped. I reset it and everthing came back on except my micowave. I tryed everyhthing to find out info on this unit but not much that is helping. I would like to know if there is more then one fuse and if so where at. I only found one it was good but replaced it just in case. still noughthing comes on.please help.

Answer Kathy, You may have a damaged AC line filter EAM35001801 if the fuse is good and the unit is still dead. We wouldn't think the control board 6871W2S152A would be the issue, but it is a possibility. Good Luck and Thanks

Our LG microwave made a loud vibration noise than stopped working. Changed the fuse and all of the control panel functions worked: clock/light/options, but when the power button was pushed, the microwave vibrated loudly again for a few seconds then went completely dead. Do you know what may be causing this, or if it is common problem with this model?

Answer Hello Anthony. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the magnetron 2B71165R is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit. You will also want to replace the diode 6021W3B001R with the magnetron and the fuse 3B74133Q. Hope this helps.
