Answer Hello Ed. It sounds like the control board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. The heater and the thermistor are within specs on the unit.

Answer Hello Joetta. Test for power to the heater assembly. If there is power there, and the heater does not work, replace the heater assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer Dave, Yes the thermistor does come as part of the heater assembly so it is a good thermistor. You will want to check wiring to make sure that there is no breaks or damage to wires. If wiring is ok then the Control board would be the problem.

Answer Hello Crystal. Make sure the unit has rinse aid in it. If not, this is the issue. If it does, then test the heater and see if it is good. If it is bad, replace the heater. If it test good, replace the main control board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer Hello Bernard. You need to check and see if the element is bad, or if the board is bad. If the element is bad, you may have a bad control board causing the element to burn out in the unit. 

Ap for Model Number LG Dishwasher - LDS4821ST

Answer Hello AP. It sounds like the center drive nut is not tight enought to cause a good seal on the sump assemnly of the unit. Try to tighten the nut and compress the rubber seal to stop the leak in the unit.
