What is the correct size of the center nut of the heating element? I replaced the heating element & now I have water leaking which wasn't happening before. I have used a wrench that is 3/8 which is too small and another that is 7/16 which is too big.

Water is not heating at all. NO HE error code. No TE error code. When running LG check program, I get 36 for the heater which is normal. I get 33 for the thermistor and I should get 39. Inlet valve check doesn't return a steady number, but keeps cycling through numbers without stopping. I have checked the tub filling and draining normally. Is there anything other than the heater/thermistor element that could cause the problem? I am thinking about the control panel. Is there a "secret combination" of button pushes to check it out? There is no reputable authorized repair service within a hundred miles of me. Thanks, Ed

My dishwasher the water is not staying hot and my dishes are not getting dry. I start running water to get hot before I start my dishwasher. I have checked the water when it drains and it is barely warm. My rinse aid is full and I have not gotten any error codes to let me know there is a problem. When it has completed the cycle the dishwasher is not hot inside. It use to steam up my eye glasses when I would open it when done. Don't do that anymore. I was hoping you would be able to tell me what could be wrong and what part I would need. Thanks

Latest Questions

I've replaced the heating element and I still get a HE fault. All of the wiring looks good. I believe that the thermistor is the sensor in the heating element so that should be good since I replaced the heating element. The micro-switches in the door latch operate correctly (Heating Element wiring runs through this switch). I believe that that narrows my problem down to the relay on the control board not functioning properly. Any other suggestions???

I replaced the element on my LG Dishwasher less than 1 year ago and now I have to replace it again. Is there a way to trouble shoot a problem. I don't want to continue to replace this part. The element did work for about 8 months after I replaced it.
