Latch on right door broke. The bracket that holds the latch needs to be replaced. How do I do this? Is part 233f the proper part?

Answer Hello Richard. You will need to remove the cover over the hinge on the top of the door. Then unplug the door switch wire and the wire harness. Remove the ground screw. Loosen the 6 screws and lift off the top hinge. Place the door on a non-scratching surface with the inside up. Next remove the door frame cover by starting at the top of the cover and work your way down unsnapping the cover from the door. Pull gasket back to expose gasket bracket clip and door frame. Insert a flat tip screwdriver into seam between gasket bracket 4930JJ2028E and door frame and pry back until clips snap out. Hope this helps.
