The Ice Maker has failed. Symptoms are: The ice tray seems to be out of synch in that it starts to tilt, yet the drive motor continues to run and I hear a noise that sounds like a "clicking sound" as though gears are not meshing. The other observation is I don't have any water coming in to fill the tray. I have good water pressure and water is streaming very nicely when filling a container from the door spicket. The power switch is turned on. My other question is how do I remove the old ice maker assembly? The right side seems to come loose from it's mounting, however, the left side is not coming loose from it's mounting. How do I get the left side to release so I can remove it from the refrigerator? Thanks. Desert Guy

Latest Questions

This fridge had NO water to it when I bought the home. It does now. Water in door works. NO ICE. No water to ice tray. I see a warning that damage to ice maker may occour if ice maker is left on with no water. Would this be an easy replace to do the ice maker or is it more parts. I checked the solenoids and they seem ok.What would the damage be to with no water to the ice maker and it was left on? I want to order the right parts.

This seems to be my ice maker. My problem is that the ice tray seems to be warped and when water fills tray I get spillage down the side of freezer and then of course ice build up on inner wall. I cant seem to be able to twist tray back straight. Have you heard of this problem before? Is my only answer is to purchase new ice maker?
