Part #aeq73110205. I opened motor and found reset button. I re-assembled everything and unit cycles fine when I push the reset button but will not run full cycle to dump ice on its own?

Latest Questions

I'll be replacing the AEQ73110205 ice maker assembly soon. When I removed it from the fridge, there was white cloth tape holding the wires together. Do you sell this tape? What is it called in the industry? Thanks! Rick

I have a jammed icemaker on my Kenmore (LG) french door refrigerator and I want to make sure I can remove it before I order a new one. First I removed four screws and the icemaker dropped free but is still connected by it's wiring harness. The plug, however, is behind a plastic panel that seems to be part of the inner door. I removed three larger screws (screws with larger heads) and now the panel is loose and I can get to the connector. My remaining question is how to release the retaining clamps on the connector without destroying them in the learning process. Is it the two plastic tabs on the side that I have to deal with or is it the one in the center top area? Thank you
