Answer Frank, The icemaker would be the cause of the unit leaking water into the ice bin. The icemaker 5989JA1005D on the unit is warped and will need to be replaced.

Answer Hello Robert, The model number listed is not showing up as a valid model number. We could not advise on the icemaker part number without this but the icemaker is what you would want to replace.

Answer Hello Jennifer, You would want to check for power getting to the water valve when calling for water. You should receive 12 vdc to the water valve 5221JA2006D. If the water valve gets power but does not pump water then it is a bad valve. If the valve does not get voltage then it would more than likely be the control board since the icemaker has already been changed.

Answer Hello Dave. If there is ice in the tray, and it does not dump, you will need to replace the icemaker 5989JA1005D.

Answer Hello Don, If you have the complete icemaker all you will need to do is to remove the ice bin, take out the phillips head screw that is holding the icemaker bracket in place and pull icemaker out. Once out disconnect the wire harness. Plug in new icemaker and reinstall.

Answer Hello Jerry, The only styrofoam that should be on the icemaker would be what the thermistor is in. The icemaker 5988JA1001H is just the mechanical part of the icemaker. The icemaker 5989JA1005D is the complete icemaker assembly.
