I would like to vent the microwave to the outside via the rear vent rather than through the top and into the top cabinet and onto the outside. The vent work will need to pass through a thickness of sheet rock, stud, and siding. Is there a kit that will work with this thickness?

Answer Gary, the installation kit you're referring to, is the basic parts needed to do a basic installation of the unit(nuts, bolts,straps, etc.). Most accessories and venting materials are available through the manufacturer, a local hardware store, or heating and air conditioning supply dealer. Good Luck.
