My Repair & Advice
Stated with the most common problem, the Hall effect sensor. Intermittent LE error continued.
Next, replaced the motor wiring harness, same thing.
Replacing the main board seems to have done the trick, Over a week with no failure.
Most difficult part of the job was getting the 4 mounting feet to properly engage the slots in the sheet metal. After that just a matter of plugging in all the connectors. What with colorcoding, shape of the different harnesses, and different shaped connectors, this was unambiguous.
You may need to disconnect the ground wires screwed to the chassis in this area for clearance and cable slack. You did unplug the machine before you started, right ?
An intermittent failure like this can be one of the hardest diagnoses you will ever make, just don't give up.
