My icemaker is now making ice & ejecting into ice bin, but it will not dispense out through the door. No sounds when button pushed. Do I need a micro switch in dispenser, or is more likely the auger motor assembly? How do I access the switch in dispenser?
You will want to test the dispenser switch for continuity. If there is no continuity when pushed in then the switch is bad and if there is continuity then the most likely issue is the dispenser control board. To remove the dispenser assembly, remove the drip tray. With the drip tray removed you will place hands on the bottom where the tray was at and push down and pull out at the same time. This will release the cover and you can take the dispenser out.
Water has stopped filling my ice tray in the ice maker any ideas ?
Answer Hello Larry. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
