I've had my LG for 4 years the bottom washer blade no longer sends up any water but the top 2 do. I have taken apart the bottom and removed any debris and reassembled. The only improvement was that its quieter. I made sure all the washer arms were free of debris as well so don't know what needs to be replaced.

I have a LG dishwasher that is making a grinding noise, unit is about 2 years of age. I have read that this noise can be caused be the pump motor. Can the pump motor be changed or does the entire sump assemble have to be replaced? Also can this noise be caused by the diverter motor or the blade? The dw is only making this noise during the wash cycle. Do you have to change the inner seal on the sump before installing a new pump motor? Thanks Jim

I am also having the fault code LE during the wash cycle. I have looked for broken wires and Ohmed out the white, blue and light blue wires going to the pump motor. Between the blue and light blue wires I read 16 ohms. Between the blue and white, reads open, between the light blue and white also reads open. These would be the three large pins on the motor. I have also read this at the motor after having removed the motor for access. On a new motor that you guys sale, what readings are you getting between the three large pins on the motor? I am not concerned about the four small pins that appear to be going to a hall effect sensor.

Latest Questions

Follow-up to my prior question about loud noise during wash cycle. To cover my bases, and because it was more cost effective overall, I ended up ordering an entire sump assembly (3485ED1002B) Due to the work revolved in dissasembling the unit to replace the entire sump assembly as a whole, I ended up removing all of the parts from the new sump assembly except for the heater element, and installing them in the existing sump housing. So the dishwasher has a new drain pump, wash motor, diverter motor w/switch and soil sensor. I used all of the cover pieces from the new sump assembly that you access from inside the dishwasher, as well as the grinding blade. The only parts of the original sump assembly are the base housing and heater assembly. The noise during the wash cycle is now 50% quieter then it was before replacing these parts but it's still 50% louder then it was originally. I know it's definitely wash motor noise, but I'm not sure if diverter motor noise could also be in play (not sure when the diverter motor runs) My dishwasher was purchased in late 2006 so I know I now have revised parts. Are these newer parts louder than original parts? Is there something else that I have not replaced that could be causing the wash cycle noise to be louder than originally?

I have an LG LDF7810 that is 6 1/2 years old. It has worked flawlessly until now. There is now a loud (compared to what it normally sounds like) continuous noise when the unit is running it's cycle. After the unit is turned on at the door is closed, it makes no noise for a couple minutes, then I hear three "ramp ups" that make the loud noise, then it goes continuous. I hear water moving around inside the entire diswasher while this noise is going on, so it seems to be whatever motor is driving the unit during the core of it's cycle.
