Lately my dishwasher has not been draining and throwing an 'OE' error. I went through the manual and googled the error and it recommended to clear the outflow line. I did this and it worked for one more load. My next step was to open up the sump pump assembly to see if debris had blocked the drainage mechanisms. It was really gross in there and after wiping things clean, and washing all the parts. When I reassembled everything, it did drain... Unfortunately all over the floor and down through to my neighbors below. I have disassembled and reassembled a few times to see i I did something wrong. And the same thing happens with about three minutes of the cycle starting. Will a replacement of the whole assembly and gasket fix this? Should I just but a new unit? If I don't DIY it might cost the same with parts, markup and labor.

Lg dishwasher does not pump water up to the top and has very lacking pressure and cleaning power. The rest functions fine. I was going to replace AP4447671. Is this a good resolve. Is this part the entire sump / motor and pump assembly .

I have lg dishwasher.Turns on starts the program and after 2-3 min stops and stays on the same time (is not going forward with the cycle.) I can hear small buzzing noise from the bottom. Buzz 3-4 times and stops and repeats the buzzing again. Can you tell me what is wrong and which part i need to buy? Thanks tony

Latest Questions

I followed your suggestions and even had a repair tech come out to diagnose my problem asked earlier (dishes are not getting cleaned and appears water is not going through the spray arms. The tech confirmed the water was not being forced up in the upper rack and recommened the sump assembly to be replaced. To save on labor I thought I would order part AP4447671 myself and attempt the repair. I flipped the dishwasher on it side and it looks pretty simple (hose and wire connections) but can't figure out how to get the existing motor pump assembly removed. I wanted to make sure I could handle it before I ordered the part. In reviewing other questions and answers, it appears I may NOT need to replace the entire sump assembly. Based on other users questions, do I only need part AP4438603 and not the entire sump assembly? Which parts specifically come with the sump assembly? Thanks!

My diswasher is stopped cleaning dishes. I think the problem is the water pump as I don't see the arms spinning when I open the door in the middle of the cycle (I think I should be able to see this?). It's my understanding the waterpump creates the pressure to make the arms spin. I have checked for debris clogging and there was none. Does my issue sound like a faulty water pump?
