I have a LG washer model WM2016CW, it come up with an error code of "OE." Ever thing I read, says check hoses, removed pump and everything looks good. Smelled the pump motor, does not smell burnt. So would this mean it is the control panel? Machine is only about 5 years old. Thanks!
You will want to check the resistance of the coils on the pump motor and make sure that the resistance is between 10 and 20 ohms of resistance. If the resistance is higher or lower than this then the drain pump would need to be replaced. If it checks ok then check at the main control board on the black 2 terminal connector from black to the blue 4 pin connector brown for 120 vac when in the drain setting. If there is 120 vac then the motor is bad and if not then the main control board is bad.
