Someone asked the exact same question. My unit tripped a breaker in my basement also. It seems strange because it must have done it right at the end of a wash. (clothes were washed and spun.) Anyway, no lights at all on control panel. I removed the washer cover and checked the circuit board in the back and there appears to be no burns on the circuit board. (It was replaced a year ago anyway by a service company) I removed the control board in the front and checked it also. It looks fine as I also removed both circuit boards, and neither showed any sign of burns. It has 3 harnesses. One with 3 wires, and 2 with @ 10 wires each. All 3 are thin -1 is blue and 2 are white. The small white one has 3 wires and there is power (120v) at this point when the machine is plugged in. Again, no lights at control panel whatsoever. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Answer John, If you are getting 120 vac to the control board, check to see if there is a fuse on the main control to see if it is blown. If blown the main control board would need to be replaced. If not then you would more than likely need the display control board.

Fails to go into rinse cycle.

Answer Hello j molnar. You need to check and see if the cold water valve on the unit is working. If not, then that is the issue of the unit not advancing into the rinse cycle. It has to have cold water for it to advance. If the cold water is working, then you will look for error codes on the unit and if none is found, you will order and replace the control board on the unit.

I have two buttons missing on the control panel( rinse +spin and extra rinse). Do I have to purchase the control panel or see it more simple?

Answer Hi. Remove the back of the control panel and visible see if it blew out a circuit on the board. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance. Use a volt/ohm meter part # TJMA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. There are 2 boards. The Pcb Assembly,display Item Number: 6871ER2078A. Pcb Assembly,main Item Number: 6871ER1078T - Before ordering, please look at original board and contacts. LG uses two different boards and your model may use 6871ER1003C. The main board has a molded fuse on the board. Use the ohm meter on R x 1 scale to see if it is open. The diagnostic sheet will show the voltage input pins to check as well as the output voltage to the display board. Thank You.

I am pretty sure I need part number AP4457379 but may need another board. Can not even begin the QC check. Have LE code alot which requires unplugging, sometimes draining water. Periodically can not switch to another mode besides normal. Can not do customer settings.

Answer Hi Greg. The LE code is a Locked motor error. Use a volt/ohm meter part # TJMA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Check the wires from the main control board going to the motor/stator assy. Make sure all pins are clean and tight. If this is not the issue then replace the hall sensor part # 6501KW2002A which is connected to the stator (behind the rotor). Thank You.

Answer Alfredo, If you meant to order the user interface/display board, you have the correct part for the model number you supplied. There are no notes in reference to a substitute part number or wiring changes. You didn't mention a problem or issue , and if you meant to order a main PCB or machine control board 6871ER1078T Then that would be a reason the wires don't match. Good Luck and Thanks
