I am attempting to replace the PCB. The one I received has many of the same connections, but two or three of the wires in my machine don't seem to have a corresponding place to connect to (number of prongs are incorrect and/or color isn't on the board). Do I have the correct board?
Answer Hello Carollyn,
I have checked all of the information I can locate on your model and see no different references pertaining to the board being changed. Some of the connections look like they won't fit, but do when you try them. The first thing I would do is to compare the new board to the old board. If the connectors are the same, you need to try different directions in reference to plugging the connectors onto the board. If they don't look the same, we need you to send us your full model AND serial numbers to send the situation to research, as they will not research anything without the serial number also as this sometimes has a bearing on the particular parts on the unit.
Ive been having propblems with my washer. I bought it a bit over 3yrs ago. The motor that helps water be drained out of washer wasnt working so I hired a specialist to fix it. He ordered the part and replaced it. Then he said the the motor keeps running non stop. So now he says the main boad is the problem. Its been a little over a month that he has been trying to find it and said he is unable to find it. He recommends to buy a new washer. That scared me because I cannot afford another one. and these were working fine.. please help!! Does this sound like the problem is the main board and how hard is it to replace it?
Answer Hi Luis. If the pressure switch part # 6601ER1006E is not satisfied then the pump will not shut off. Remove the cover and remove the flume hose going to the pressure switch. Blow back towards the tub into the hose. Is there any restrictions that you blew out and removed ? Debris such as redistributed lint from a kinked or restricted vent system. Suds from over soaping will throw up a fault code and not allow the pressure switch to be satisfied. Make sure the drain hose is not clogged. Use drain-o in the standpipe. Remove the drain pump and clear the debris in the trap. Make sure the pump impeller is not spinning loosely on the pump shaft and will not drain completely. Pump Part # 4681EA2001T. Let us know how we can assist you further. Thank You.
I'm getting a "de" code. I changed the door switch and I'm still getting the "de" code. I had a repairman come out and he said he would have to change door switch. He put another one in and it's still getting the "de" code. He says now we need to change the PCB board. Do you agree?
Answer Hello Rob,
No sir, I don't agree......yet. You see, all of the electrical connections between the door switch and the control need to be disconnected and reconnected one at a time and the harness needs to be checked for wires that could be damaged. Once this is accomplished and the problem is still not located, then I agree that the control 6871ER1078T needs to be replaced. Always eliminate what isn't the problem before parts are purchased and you will save money. Sure hope this was useful in your repair endeavor!
