The service tech replaced my Hall effect sensor and control board (board replaced twice) and it still doesn't spin as fast as it did before the board was replaced. His guess is the new board has been programmed for lower speed to reduce complaints of vibration. Now the clothes come out wetter and take twice as long to dry. Can I order the original board?
Answer Jim, it's not likely you'd be able to get an "original" control board. In most cases when there is an ECN (engineering change number) the original stock is purged and discarded, and the updated part is plced in stock. I doubt the manufacturer would reduce the RPM speed to the point that it would not extract the water and leave them soaking wet. You may want to review your User's manual to insure it's not a mistake on your part, and then have the tech return and re diagnose the issue, Worn belt, worn tub bearings, etc. Good Luck and Thanks
