Why are there three different control boards for this dryer?

Answer Hello David! There are only two control boards used on your LG Dryer model DLE2514W. There is the pwb board 6871EC1121C (which is the main board) and the display board 6871EC1120A (controls the display functions). Thanks!
Someone shorted this machine out when wiring the plug. Does this mean that I need to replace the circuit board?

Answer Hi David. Not necessarily. Can you physically identify anything burn't? Does the terminal block/wiring harness seem OK? Are you sure that you have 240/120 respectively to the dryer? The main control board is part # 6871EC1121C. The wiring harness/terminal block is part # 6877EL1007A. Thank you.
