I had a power surge and my dryer stop working. I have been told by a few people I need the Main PCB assembly part. What do you think?
Answer Hello Tami,
First check is for 240Vac to the unit. You can then check to see if you have power going to the Main PCB 6871EC1121C. If you do and voltage is not going back out to any components, it will be the issue. If you do not have power going to it you will need to check the terminal block connections and wiring to the PCB.
The dryer is not turning off, The clothes are dry but stays on 6 minutes. I cleaned off the moisture sensor. Should I replace it?
What is the cost?
With the unit stopping at 6 and not advancing past this point then it does sound like there would be an issue with the moisture sensor. You will want to make sure that your dryer vent is also clear. The reason for this is because if moisture is getting trapped in the system it will cause the dryer to stop and not advance.
