I have an LG DLE2514W dryer. When used on automatic drying cycle, when the timer gets down to 6 minutes the dryer just keeps going and the timer stays at 6 minutes. All the other cycles work correctly. Can you help me pinpoint the part to replace? I have checked the lint trap area and venting and it was all clean.

Answer Kyle, Your first check should be at the sensor bar 6500EL3001A, check and make sure both bars are there, there is no build up or debris laying across the bars(clean bars with rubbing alcohol). You would then want to test the resistance of the sensor bar circuit at the control board 6 pin connector, across the blue and orange wires. With a wet cloth touching or across the bars, there should be a resistance reading, with nothing there no resistance reading.If the resistance readings check proper, you'll need a control board 6871EC1121C. Otherwise, you'll need to check the wiring between the sensor bars and control board fopr damage, and replace the sensor bars.
