The motor assembly fan won't turn on unless you manually give it a push when it tries to engage. Today I tried replacing the motor assembly and fan with a new assembly and the same problem persisted. I also replaced the thermostat first in case it was involved, no luck. we purchased the unit form a friend who said they hadn't used the dryer feature for a year and that a repairman was unable to fix it. After a regular wash cycle an error code, "dHE," will appear as it attempts to engage the drying equipment. The heating element heats up until it trips the thermostat and then displays the error code, which occurs because the blower motor is not engaging. If I open up the fan and spin it with my finger as it tries to engage, it will then blow just fine and continue for the full 2+ hour drying cycle. I suspect that there is some part of the washer that is supposed to be converting AC current to DC but is failing, which causes the blower motor to seize instead of engaging properly. Is there any hope for this machine? Part 6871ER1003E is no longer available here- I was thinking that would be the next step to fixing the dryer function. Thanks

Hi, We have an LG Tromm Washer/ dryer combo unit. It is giving us a dE error code. We purchased and replaced the switch but still get the code. The door latches shut but does not actually lock. In the appliance chat, I was referred to you because the tech I was speaking to thought the problem may be the Main Control Board or main circuit board. What do you suggest we try? Thanks

Red light on pcb is on, my understanding is this indicates a faulty board...replaced board with light and new board has light as well. Using a board with red light yields incomplete function in test mode but no error codes. Does red light indicate faulty board as service manual states? What could be causing new boards to go faulty if that is the case?
