Could this sensor effect drying, as in leaving clothes wet but hot or cause poor spin in spin cycle?
Answer Hello Carlos. Yes, the sensor 6501FA2462C can cause this issue. Most of the time the issue is the vent assembly not properly working and it causes the issue you are having.
Is this the hall effect sensor? If not what is the part number for the hall effect senor?
Answer Hello Travis.
The sensor you were lookin at is the ball sensor used to sense an out-of-balance load. The hall effect sensor is part number 6501KW2002A.
We had a problem with a UE error a few years ago. The tech replaced a sensor and the problem went away. We are getting the UE error again. The machine is level (front to back & side to side). I have adjusted the load (clothes in the dryer-small load, big load...) multiple times. I keep getting UE. If i remove all clothes, it gets thru the cycle. Is it a bad sensor, or just the clothes bunching up?
Answer Hi Jeff. The U.E. code can be from anything that will allow the unit to be unbalanced. • The load is too small.• The appliance is tilted.• Laundry is gathered to one side.• Non distributable things are put into the drum. Make sure that the unit is level front to back and side to side. Make sure the level legs are locked with the nut tightened back towards the base. Make sure the legs can grip a clean floor. If the legs are damaged they are part # AFC72909501. Remove the top. look to see if the top center tub springs are located in the top frame mounts and lightly greased. They need to be replaced in pairs. They are part # 4970FR2084N. Open the back and see if the tub shocks are loose or if there is any grease or oil leaking out. They are part # 383EER3001E. If the holding pins are broken replace them with part # 4774FR3118B. Open the door and with no clothes, spin the tub and see if there is more than 3/8" run-out (up and down movement) of the tub. Make sure that it is not wearing into the front of the boot assy. The tub is part # 3045ER1006E. Check the back pulley bolt. Is it tight ? It is part # 4040FR4051C. Are all the shipping bolts in the back removed ? Thank You.
