Our washer fills with water but doesn't tumble properly and stops with an "LE" error code. The drum "judders" and will sometimes turn with a scraping noise from the back. However, with power off turning the drum has no such noise and it moves fine.
In test mode, the first three motor tests (tumble clockwise, low speed spin and high speed spin) do nothing and the motor is frozen, drum not turning. In the tumble counterclockwise test, the drum spins with the scraping sound but the display of RPM shows 0. The motor is getting quite hot.
Any typical causes for this type of issue?
The LE error code is a motor locked error. You will want to do the following to determine what part is needed.
• The connector (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR
HARNESS is not connected to the connector
(3-pin, female, white) of STATOR ASSEMBLY.
• The electric contact between the connectors
(3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS
and 4-pin, female, white connector in the MAIN PWB
ASSEMBLY is bad or unstable.
• The MOTOR HARNESS between the STATOR
ASSEMBLY and MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is cut (open
• The hall sensor is out of order/defective
I tried fixing my washer with a new sensor. It doesn't seem to work. Could you identify the problem?
Answer Hello H.N.,
We can assist with a bit of help from you. First we will need a model number from the units' I.D. tag. Then we will need a description of the problem the unit is giving. Thank you for your understanding and patience in this matter.
I am having a problem with my frontloading washing machine. Its showing something like te. The error comes when I switch on the machine.
Answer Hello Manu. The "tE" error is triggered when the MAIN BOARD fails to receive signal input from the THERMISTOR. You will need to replace the thermistor.
