i receive the LE error code on my front load, have cleaned the filter (bottom left facing), also the drum rotates both directions by had with no resistance felt. The washer will not go into full spin cycle, I have tried to perform the quick cycle (med speed) only to have the washer sound like it engages but does not rotate right away, as a matter of fact it only rotates counterclockwise and makes a sorta growling noise (not metal on metal but not normal sound) and does not rotate at all clockwise, at min 12 on a 14 min spin cycle it stops beeps and gives me the LE code. It happened with a load of clothes which I had to drain and pull out without having it complete a spin cycle. the "quick spin" was completed with an empty washer. I have also spun the drum clockwise and counter clockwise 4x's each way and unplugged the washer from the wall for 10+ min. Any help or direction with this would be great.
Answer Hello Justin. The LE code is for LOCKED MOTOR ERROR. Here is some of the things that can cause that code.
• The connector (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS is not connected to the connector (3-pin, female, white) of STATOR ASSEMBLY.
• The electric contact between the connectors (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS and 4-pin, female, white connector in the MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is bad or unstable.
• The MOTOR HARNESS between the STATOR ASSEMBLY and MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is cut (open circuited).
• The hall sensor is out of order/defective.
my washer began to smell like something was burning after a wash cycle. then when done the drum filled with smoke. on the next load i got error code LE. does it need a new motor sensor?

The LE indicates a locked motor error. Things you want to check for is the connector 3 pin maile white in the motor harness making sure it is plugged into the female white of the stator assembly. Check the electrical contacts between the connectors 3 pin male white in the motor harness and the 4 pin female white connector in the Main PWB assembly is bad or unstable. The motor harness between stator assembly and main PWb assembly is cut or has open circuit. Last could be the hall sensor is out of order or defective.
