Is there a way to test the stator? My machine makes a sound like the tub belt is slipping on a dryer tub. It kind of just sputters and then stops turning. I removed the housing and stator and both look just fine. Could this be the sensor that hooks to the stator PN# 451?
Answer Hello Ken,
Being a three phase motor 4417EA1002J, each winding should read very close to the other two, (Resistance of terminal: 1-2/2-3/1-3 : About 5 ?-15 ?). If one is open or shows no resistance to ground, the motor has failed. Check also for cracked or broken magnets in the rotor 4413ER1002F.If all read good, the RPS 6501KW2001A is the next suspect.
