Dryer won't dry on Sensor dry. It takes a long time to dry in timed dry. The cooling light is on continuously. I can hear the burner light but I believe the control panel is bad. Thanks

Long dry times, but gets plenty hot when I took off the vent line and played with it. Not a clogged vent line. Power is OK. "Cooling" light always on. Dry light is on too. When put in diagnostic mode I get "18:F1" then "U01". no description of this in the service manual. I have not checked resistance on any parts yet. What's wrong? The cooling light always being on seems weird to me. Is one or both of the thermostats? Controller? I really dont wanna rip this thing apart nine times to replace things piecemeal.

Latest Questions

Recently replaced thermistor (2 mos. ago) after getting check filter and long drying times, with clothes remaining damp after several sensor dry cycles. Worked like new for 2 mos. now, same symptoms. This time I replaced thermistor. No change. Unit now self-diagnoses as open thermistor (LE01). I checked resistance on both thermistors. Each is 10 ohm. The sensor circuit tests 14kohm at 60-68 F, so that's in spec. Service manual says check controller connection. I believe it's good, so not wiring (assuming). Manual says replace controller. Does this seem correct? Need advice before replacing controller.
