One of the two tubes going up to the filter on the back of the fridge cracked about 2 inches from filter. Can this be replaced or fixed?
Yes, The tubing from the filter to the water valve can be replaced on your unit. You would want to order part number 5210JA3005E. To replace this tubing you will need to pull the unit out and shut off the water. Remove the lower cover of the compressor compartment. Once removed then remove the water valve. Where the tubing goes into the valve there will be a color ring around it. inbetween the valve and this ring is a clip that needs to be pulled out and then you push in on the color ring and pull out on the tubing that needs to be replaced. You then remove the cover and clips that hold the tubing in place going up the rear wall of the unit. It may be best to remove both tubes from the valve. Once this is done then open the refrigerator door and remove the top shelf. Remove the light cover and there will be a couple of screws holding that complete assembly in place. Remove the screws and pull out the ducting assembly. This will give access to the water filter head which is held in by 1 or 2 screws.
