MY original water valve part # 5220JB2009A has two solenoid and four pin connectors, the replacement(substitute according to the manufacture diagram) water valve part # MJX41178908 has one solenoid and two pin connectors. my refrigerator has two harness and four wire. one harness has blue+purple wire, the other has blue+red wire. I test the voltage for the blue+purple it register 8.5 volt when valve stay idle(open) and 123 volt when the valve pumping(close). for the blue+red, it register 24.5 volt when idle(open) and 28.5 volt when pumping(close). I connected the blue+red onto the new valve, it does not pump water. I connected the blue+purple onto the new valve. it pump water to the water dispenser except it does not pump water into the ice maker. For my old valve which has two solenoid, I would assumed the high voltage one is for pumping water through the dispenser and low voltage one is for pumping water to the ice maker. How can I make my new valve work with both function? Should I combine four wire into two and connect it to my new valve? Your advice will be deeply appreciated.

This part is supposed to be the newest replacement for my LG refrigerator. However, as someone previously asked my refrigerator has 4 electrical wires while this part only has 2 connections. The original water valve does not have two valves but has 2 solenoids. How would the electrical connections be made?

My water valve has sprung a leak. This replacement part does not look like what I need. My valve has a module connected on the top with 4 wired plugged into it. [red, blue} and {purple, black] Is the top module a piece that comes apart from the water valve? It looks like it is crimped on.
