I replaced the inlet valve on my fridge, and a slow drips is still occurring from where the white tube on the back of the fridge connects to the valve. How can I stop the leak?

Recently, I have a side by side refrigerator and the dispenser slight started flashing. When it does this, there is water that comes out the back and it leaks a lot of water. It sounds like it tries to initiate pumping water even though I am NOT trying to dispense any. The only way to prevent leaking is to LOCK the control pad. It mostly works and the flashing will stop after a while. I don't want to shut off the water since it still makes ice but I just need to manually take it out. It can also dispense if it is not throwing a tantrum and start flashing again. After that then it just opens and closes the opening. It does not seem like it leaks otherwise even though it continues to make ice. Is this just a frozen water line to the water dispenser or is this a water valve issue? I cannot logically say there is something wrong with the water valve if it is used for both ice and water dispensing, unless they are separate. I am thinking it may be a control board issue but I don't want to invest in that if it's something physically wrong that can be fixed by defrosting. Thank you

I have low water flow and it takes a long time to make any ice, would it be because of a clogged water filter?

Latest Questions

I've placed the Water Inlet Valve Assembly as instructed. The water dispenser now works, the ice maker now works (correctly), BUT the icemaker door does not open when the switch is depressed to dispense the ice. The ice drops through but stays inside the door dispenser - since the door is not opening.

The water inlet valve was leaking, so I ordered a new one and replace that. Now I do not have water to the ice maker and it doesn't seem to be cycling. I do have water in the door. Also, every now and then, it squirts water out of the door dispenser as if you were filling a glass. I am sure that it has to do with the wiring of the water inlet valve. Can you tell me what color wires go to which position? (as if you were holding the water inlet valve upright with the four spade connectors on top facing you). I also noticed in one of the answers you mentioned a test button on the ice maker to ensure the motor works. Does this model have one? Thanks

This water valve has six spade connectors. Two sets of two on one end and one set of two on the other. I have replaced the valve, but may have crossed some wires. Can you tell me which color wired goes to each connector? Thanks
