The unit is 34 degrees in fridge,10 in freezer. The compressor feels like its running. I have unplugged to restart. Left side of fridge not warm like usual. Fan at compressor is running. Noticed this problem when the ice maker stopped producing. Don't know how to remove freezer inside parts to check coil condition.
Answer Hello Charles,
To remove the rear panel of the freezer compartment, you remove the shelves and icemaker. Once these are removed there are screws that hold the panel in place. These are phillips head. Remove the screws and pull out on the panel. It should release and you should have access to the evaporator coils to check to see if they are frosted up. You may want to check the thermistor for broken wires and resistance. Also check your heater for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Need to replace light bulb on water dispenser. How do I get to it?
Answer Hello Susan. You can unsnap the cover off the light bulb to replace it or you can use a flat blade screwdriver on the slots on the bottom of the front cover of the dispenser and unsnap it and remove it to access the bulb.
How do I replace the heating element for a Amana Dryer? I can't figure out how to access the heating element.
Answer Hello Lyndakay. Remove the two screws on the bottom of the front toe panel and remove the toe panel. Make sure the power is disconnected. Lay in the floor and look under the drum on the left side. You can now access and replace the element 61927 in the unit.
