Can the timer cause the dryer to overheat and trip the door thermost(high limit thermostat). I've replaced the all the blower thermostat high limit thermostat and the thermo fuse. The dryer will not regulate the heat. After a few minutes it will trip the therostat over the heater element (high limit thermostat) and when the door is opened it will not come back on until it cools off and resets. If you let it run with out opening the door it will blow the non resetable fuse (thermo fuse) on the side of the heater element. I've cleaned all the lint out of the vents and front of dryer. Cleand the motor and with compressed air, cleaned vent tube and checked for proper air flow seems ok . Note if put in fluff or no the heat setting it will keep running and not reset the thermost or fuse. So its got somthing to do with the heat not turing off and on. I've got the wiring diagram and could sent it to you or fax it. Parts changed are the blower thermostat and the thermo fuse and high limit thermostat. Also is the timer even available to buy?
