Our relay switch went out. The number is P6R8MG ORO506. We ordered the exact number part and received instead MCF6R8MG. The two switches are not the same size. Why?
Patti for Model Number Vinotemp TC32G, LG compressor 3152366
Answer Hello Patti,
The size of the relay would have been changed by the manufacturer but should still work on unit as it is a direct replacement from the manufacturer.

Our wine chiller stopped working. Repair guy said it was the relay switch. He replaced it, the unit started chilling, then he wanted to charge $250. We said no thank you. If we get this relay switch part, how do you replace it? Vinotemp guy said it was an easy in out process. Thanks,
Patti for Model Number VinoTemp wine chiller TC32G. LG compressor NS36LACG. Relay switch # P6R8MC OR0506
Answer Hello Patti,
To replace the relay on the compressor you would access compressor. Once you have access to the compressor then remove the old relay which may be held in by a couple of screws. You pull the screws out and pull cover off the wires. Once cover is off remove the relay then remove the relay and switch wires from one to the other. Plug back onto compressor and reinstall cover and screws.

The Magic Chef mini refrigerator has stopped cooling. Could it be the relay?
Bob for Model Number MCBR445B1
Answer Hello Bob,
This can be caused by the temperature control or the start relay. The way to tell which is at fault is to check for voltage at the compressor. If there is voltage there, the temperature control is passing the voltage and the start relay on the compressor will be at fault. If there is no voltage at the compressor, the problem is the temperature control. Important note: this test has to be done while the unit is in the run configuration, not in defrost.
