Answer Hello Tom. No, but the defrost thermostat C0472.4.8 or the heater C0507.4.3 or the timer CF2003-56 can be the issue. The heater and thermostat should read closed for continuity when cold. If they are good, replace the timer. If one is bad, replace the bad part. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
AP4565236 T-Stat, Does this device include the timer for defrost cycle? If not, what part number does?
Dennis for Model Number MCBR1010w
Answer Dennis, the thermostat C0507.4.1-2 does not include the timer. For the defrost timer use part number CF2003-56. Thanks!
