My Repair & Advice
First indicator was auto dry cycle running too long. It shuts off by sensing dryness and with no heat it takes forever
Opened up front and lifted out drum. Heater unit visible in bottom rear left. Pulled off black and orange long wire leads coming from ft left. Unscrewed 2 sheet metal screws on each side of unit - unit lifts out. About to check continuity with meter when visually spotted a break in the coil.
Took the time to inspect the entire inside. Decided to grease 2 drum roller shafts at back and grease the belt tension roller shaft - lightly. Also saw that the drum belt was dry, stiff, and extremely cracked - be sure to replace it while you are inside. And, by the way, undo belt from tension roller first when taking drum out and hook it up last when putting drum back in.
Conned my wife into vacuuming entire inside so I wouldn't drag lint upstairs. Worked great!
Two days later parts arrived, fit, very quickly installed, and worked. It was tutti all the way - we are musicians
