My Repair & Advice
Being a complete DIY I hate to call some unknown person into my home knowing that just to get them there will cost me more than I will spend for parts that I don't need. After all, they are trying to make a living and by selling me parts that I don't need will increase their profits.
I've dealt with APP before and was impressed by their site because I could find both mechanical and electrical drawings for almost everything I have.
I looked up my dryer, decided what was probably the problem, added all the parts that I felt were probably OK and gave them a call. The customer rep, bless her heart was absolutely fantastic! She was really on the ball and made ordering all the parts I needed a breeze.
A week later, when my parts arrived,( I went with the standard shipping), I installed everything, cleaned the dryer of all the lint I could vacuum out, crossed my fingers and pushed the start button. Son-of-a gun, the dryer works like new!
I fixed the darned thing for less than $100 and now am a hero with my wife.
Life doesn't get better than that.
