Washing machine wasn't draining properly and the drain pump sounded loud and whiny

My Repair & Advice
Replace the drain pump after watching a video demonstrating the process. The washing machine had run properly and emptied, so I was surprised how much water remained in the pipe after disconnecting the old pump. Plan on having 2-3 large towels underneath before removing it.
The most difficult part (and most irritating) was replacing the intake and outtake hoses with the existing spring clamps. The drain hose into the pump took almost twenty minutes to attach properly. If the hardware store was a little closer or I'd realized what a pain the spring clamp would be, I'd have purchased a pair of house clamps and thrown away the spring clamps.
That would have saved twenty minutes and 100% of the aggravation in replacing the pump.
The entire job took 30-40 minutes.
