My Repair & Advice
The GE guy came out and diagnosed. Cost me $89 for him to walk in the door. He didn't have the part (switch) in the truck but quoted me $255 to replace and would be back in a week to do it. I looked up part on your web site. Your price was half ($17.95) what the GE web site was quoting ($34.95) for the same part. Watched the repair video and immediately ordered part from you and canceled the GE follow up appointment. All in all it took me 24 minutes to switch out the part which also included time to sweep out and mop clean underneath where stove is before I started on the switch. Incredible! The GE repair quote converted to hourly rate (using my actual time to replace switch) converts to over $500/hr. service charge for a $17.95 part. !!! I am self employed and not opposed to people making a living but that is highway robbery. Thanks for your site and the embedded how to video which shows how to replace the part(s). You saved me $166 ($255 GE repair quote minus the $89 to walk-in-the-door diagnoses charge I paid) by doing it myself in 24 minutes.
