My Repair & Advice
First, the reader should know that the oven is a GE wall oven, model JKS05P1 and it was 22 years old when I made the repair. I bought the door seal from Appliance Parts Pros so used the directions in the Q&A for this part. I loosened the screws as directed, but the old seal wouldn't budge. I searched online for other directions and discovered the screws needed to come out and the inner-liner needed to be pulled forward just a bit. This relieved pressure on the old seal and it was then easy to remove. The new seal slid in easily. I pushed the inner-liner back and replaced the screws.
